Syngonium Watering

Syngoniums like their soil to stay lightly, consistently moist, so this is one plant you’ll want to check in on regularly. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, giving it a thorough drink until water runs out the bottom. Just be sure to empty any extra from the saucer or decorative pot to keep root rot at bay.

In winter, when growth slows, let the soil dry out a bit more between drinks. Yellow or droopy leaves usually mean too much water, while curling or wilting leaves are a sign your plant’s ready for a sip. Listen to what your Syngonium is telling you — it’s pretty good at giving hints!

Syngonium Lighting

Syngoniums love bright, indirect light.  Though they can handle lower-light spots, just know that variegated varieties might start to lose their patterns if they don’t get enough light. Pale or yellow leaves? Too much direct sun. Leaves turning solid green? They’re craving a bit more light.

With the right balance of light and water, Syngoniums are versatile, fast-growing, and seriously show-stopping — the kind of plant that keeps you coming back for more.
