Water Conservation
Rainwater is one of nature’s best resources, and we make the most of it. Our self-contained retention ponds and irrigation system capture and reuse up to 155 million gallons of rainfall each year (about 4 million gallons per inch of rain), keeping our plants hydrated and our practices eco-friendly.
Energy Efficiency
Our wood-fired boiler system generates about 70% of the heat for our greenhouses, cutting our reliance on natural gas and reducing fossil-fuel–derived CO₂ emissions by up to 300%. We also use radiant heat, high-efficiency curtains, and optimal lighting to keep our greenhouses running more sustainably year-round.
Natural Pest Management
We rely on nature’s own pest control, like spiders, and other “good bugs.” This helps minimize the usage of liquid pesticides and keeps our plants healthy and thriving more naturally. We are among the first in the United States to be MPS ABC certified.
Sustainable Packaging & Materials
Inside our greenhouses, we use durable, injection-molded trays for every young plant and reuse them cycle after cycle, keeping over a million trays out of landfills each year. We’re also rethinking every step of a plant’s journey, exploring eco-friendly packaging, PCR materials, and recyclable shipping fixtures to reduce waste and support a circular economy.
