Philodendron Watering
Philodendrons like their soil to stay comfortably moist, but not soggy. Let the top 1–2 inches dry out before giving it a drink. Think of it as letting your plant take a little breath between sips!
Like most plants, overwatering is the real danger here. Always drain any extra water from your decorative pot or saucer, or your Philodendron might stage a protest in the form of root rot. Keep it balanced, and it’ll reward you with lush, glossy leaves.
Philodendron Lighting
Philodendrons are pretty easygoing when it comes to light, which is part of their charm. They thrive in bright, indirect light but can also adapt to lower-light corners of your home — they’ll just grow a little slower. Keep them out of direct sun, though, or you might see scorched leaves.
Think of them as flexible roommates: give them plenty of filtered light, and they’ll show off lush, glossy leaves; give them a low-light spot, and they’ll still hang out happily, just a bit more chill.
