Sansevieria Watering

The Sansevieria, also known as the "snake plant," is a true low-maintenance legend — seriously one of the best plants for beginners. Much like a succulent, it barely needs any water and actually prefers to dry out completely between drinks. A light watering every three weeks is usually plenty. Keep it on the drier side, and it’ll thrive; too much water can lead to root rot, which is the one thing this tough plant won’t tolerate.

The key to keeping your Sansevieria happy:  Let it sip, not soak!

Sansevieria Lighting

Sansevieria are champs in low light, which makes them perfect for dorms, apartments, and those sun-starved corners of your home. They’re happiest in bright, indirect light, but they’ll keep on living, and looking good, even without it!  Just remember, they’re naturally slow growers no matter where you place them, so don’t stress if they’re taking their time. They’re still thriving, even when they’re not racing to put out new leaves.
